THE PLANT IS CALLED ECHINACES PURPUREA. THE TREATMENT MAY COME IN THE FORM OF PILLS, LIQUID, CHEWABLE TABLES AND INSTANT TEA. THE PLANT ITSELF WAS A NATIVE AMERICAN MEDICINE. THE NATIVE AMERICANS USED JUICE FROM THE FLOWER'S leaves to their skin. We know today that it increases the number of white cells in the body.

The flower is purple coneflower. The herb also activates the liver, lymph nodes, and mucous membranes. It has also been known to heal wounds and other germicidal properties.

Echinacea can be used for a cold and upper respiratory tract infections. Echinacea is an immune system booster, and it can also defend the body from infectious disease. You should take (1) tablet a day. If you have a cold you can increase the Echinasea to 300mg every 2 hours. Continue the increased dosage for 10 days.

When you buy it at a store already pepared The herb usually come from the flower, leaves and roots. There are no side effects from Echinacea and other drugs that have been taken. But you should also use caution, if you are allergic generally when talking herbs.

I personally have taken Echinacea tables for many years, and it has proven to aid my health. I live in a cold climate and it helps to prevents colds and flu. I would recommend it for other to try, if they do not have any allergies to herbs.
